We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before your scheduled class time for first timers. Our team offers a one-on-one set up to ensure your comfort and safety on the bike. We save your bike settings in our system that way your bike will be set to your specifications the next time you come in.
If you are running late, please email frontdesk@chvrchcycle.com or call 951-707-3894 to let us know and we will hold your bike for a total of only 5 minutes after class has begun. Once the 5 minute window has passed, we will lock the front door to avoid class disruption.
We recommend bringing your own water bottle which you can fill up for free in the studio. We also sell bottled water for $2. We want you to stay hydrated during class!
Yes! Each locker has an attached lock that you can set before each class. Additionally, our front door is locked once class starts. There is always a Front Desk team member keeping an eye on the lockers and bathroom area. However, we are not responsible for any items that are lost or stolen at CHVRCH.
At CHVRCH, we use SoundOff headphones during our classes. These headphones give you the ability to hear both the playlist and the instructor’s directions while you ride (imagine a silent disco). You can also adjust the volume as needed throughout the class to a preference that is comfortable for you.
For 24-48 hours before a CHVRCH cycling class, focus on hydration, balanced meals, and proper fueling to maximize your energy and endurance. Fueling properly will help you power through class and recover faster.
When you arrive at CHVRCH, please check in with our Front Desk. One of our team members will sign you in for your bike, get you shoes (if necessary), give you a tour of our studio, and set up your bike with you. Once your bike is set, we will save your settings for future rides.
No, you are not required to bring your own cycling shoes. We offer shoe rentals at $2 each class, without a membership, and shoe rentals are included for free with a membership. Our bike pedals are dual, DELTA and SPD compatible, so if you do have your own shoes, please make sure they are compliant with our bikes.
We suggest sporting a tee, tank, or sports bra on top and form-fitting pants or shorts on the bottom. Wear what you feel comfortable in! Summer classes are often hotter than in the winter, so dress accordingly.
We offer indoor cycling and restorative yoga classes. Our cycling classes are 30, 45, or 60 minutes and yoga is a 45 minute class. Each instructor offers an array of music during their classes - from Hip Hop to EDM to Trap to Alternative, we have it all. Instructors have their favorite genres and styles to teach to, but they often have a variation pending on the day and/or theme. Read about each instructor here.

Yes! We offer a combination of 5, 10, and 25 class memberships. All memberships include shoe rental. Our memberships have been structured to include a 3 month, upfront commitment. At CHVRCH we believe that when we commit, we accomplish - committing to those first 3 months is a part of your initial investment to yourself and the power of growth {which takes time and consistency}.

Each class ends with a guided cool-down stretch that can be done on or off the bike. We prefer that you not leave class until after the cool-down for safety precautions and etiquette.
Need more time to cool down or warm up? We have a 500 square foot loft where you can stretch before and/or after class. Mats and blankets offered at no additional cost to you.
Our standard classes are 45 minutes. Each class is a full body strength and vigor experience with powerful riding, stamina boosting, and mood enhancing movements. You will simulate heavy hills and quick downhills with a dedicated section for an upper body workout with our provided dumbbells. We have a variety of dumbbell options, ranging in weight from 2 lbs to 10 lbs.
Our POWER30 and POWER45 classes are high intensity, cardio and music based workouts. We take our traditional classes and condense it into 30 minutes, ensuring the workout / calories burned or extend it to 45 minutes of pure power - pushing our bodies and creating new goals. These classes do not have a dedicated upper body workout section.
Our 60 minute class is held on Sunday mornings, we call it, “Sunday Service.” Sunday Service is when we take you to church, our CHVRCH. Who says that your cup can only be refilled within the confinements of an institution? Sunday Service is a beautifully curated, 60 minute experience, where you can expect to sweat, cry, rejoice and every other feeling in between on the bike. Like the 45 minute classes, there will be a portion dedicated to upper body workouts with our provided dumbbells.
No matter the length of the class, listen to your body and take it at your own pace! While there is directed choreography on the bikes, it is always optional as any choreography done out of the saddle can be done in the saddle.

While you can unreserve your bike at any time through your account, in order to return the class credit to your account to be reused for a future reservation, you must unreserve at least 8 hours prior to the class. If you unreserve a bike within the 8-hour window, you will be charged a $10 late-cancel fee and your class credit will be returned to your account to be reused for a future reservation.
If you do not unreserve their bike within our 8 hour window and do not show for class, you will be charged a $10 no-show fee and the class credit will not be returned to your account.

That’s ok! We offer a few different class pack options that can be used for cycling and yoga without having a recurring monthly charge.

Our Front Desk staff uses a top-grade disinfectant in all common areas before and after check-ins — with a heightened attention to headphones, bikes, shoes, weights, and all high-touch surfaces after every class.
Shoes are rotated so that they’re never worn two classes in a row. We only rent them out once they’re entirely disinfected and dry.
After every class, every bike and headphone used in the studio is thoroughly disinfected. Towels and headphones are only set out on bikes that are reserved as well. Headphones are taken apart manually after each class and every piece of them are disinfected.
Yes, in order to sign up for class you must create an account through our website or mobile app. If you have yet to, you can create one here. All riders must sign a waiver prior to their first ride.
If you’re able to snag front row parking at CHVRCH, congratulations! You scored! Alternatively, the surrounding area offers free parking and is a short walking distance to our front door.
It depends on the individual and the amount of exertion used. Research indicates that on average, indoor cyclists can burn from 500-700 calories in a vigorous 45-minute workout.
CHVRCH is a mind first, body second experience. Your body will only go as far as your mind allows it to, so we primarily focus on getting you in the zone and allowing your body to follow. We cycle to the beat of the music and use upper body movement + HIIT focused cycling intervals to increase your stamina & strength while keeping you present on the bike.
CHVRCH is the first naturally lit cycling studio in Salt Lake City, Utah. We want to encourage our clients to be seen as the amazing humans that they are! Additionally, CHVRCH is women, Latina, and LGBTQ+ owned, which is the first of it’s kind in the state of Utah.
Please check with your doctor prior to taking a class. We have had many pregnant women who are able to ride right up until their due date. We’d love to give you, and baby, 30, 45, or 60 minutes of dedicated self-love!
