For the past three years, Ana has been an integral part of CHVRCH—bringing energy, passion, and an undeniable presence to every class she leads. From the moment she stepped into our studio, she has inspired riders to push beyond their limits, creating a space that is both powerful and personal. Now, as she reflects on her journey with us, Ana shares what these years have meant to her—the lessons, the growth, and the community that has shaped her along the way.

CHVRCH: Looking back on the past three years, what has been the most rewarding part of your journey as a Senior Instructor at CHVRCH?

Ana: One of the most rewarding parts of my journey would be when someone comes up to you after class and says “I really needed that.” Whatever that thing may be, they found it. And I feel so grateful that I helped them get there.
On a personal level, I have seen myself grow in other aspects of my life as well. I'm able to lead with more compassion and listen more intently since becoming an instructor.

C: How has your approach to coaching and motivating riders evolved since you first started?

A: I am not the same instructor or rider that I was 3 years ago! When I first started as an instructor I thought I had to make each class the best one they’ve ever taken with crazy moves and ubiquitous motivational speeches. And that just created a lot of pressure on me and my riders.
Now, I approach every opportunity to coach and motivate our clients by meeting them where they are. I will always read the room and your energy in each class to see what you need in that moment and meet you where you are.

C: What’s one of your most memorable moments or classes at CHVRCH?

A: I would definitely say teaching our Live DJ Influencer Ride during NBA All Star weekend! Hearing the incredible Lisa Leslie tell you you “kicked her ass on that bike” was extremely rewarding. Sorry Lisa, love you girl!

C: What advice would you give to someone taking their very first class with you?

A: Find the fun! It won’t always click the first time (we all remember trying to stay on beat in our first class) but if you find the moments of fun it will carry you through to each class.

C: If you could describe your CHVRCH experience in three words, what would they be and why?

A: Empowering. Humble. Strong.
